Default RE in Northeast Ohio (Akron, CUY FLS)

I am in desperate need of a RE in Northeast Ohio, preferably close to Akron ( I live in Cuyahoga Falls)

Even if you have a great OB-GYN in the area, send me their name!!!! Anything would be better than the crap OB/GYN that I went to!

Thank you!!

I see an RE in Akron. His name is Dr. Stephen Mooney. I really like him a lot. He has a nice personality that puts you at ease. And seems very understanding. I can't say enough nice things about him. Really. He is in a group called Reproductive Gynecology. the adrress and phone are 95 Arch St. Suite 250 Akron, OH #330 357-7722
I hope this helps.

Hi! I went to an RE in Beachwood, OH. If I am not mistaken...that is not too far from you. I drove 2 1/2 hours each time to see her and it was completely worth it! She is very understanding and from what I heard she has a family member with PCOS so she understands. She works for Cleveland Clinic at the Beachwood campus. If you look at the Cleveland Clinic website (www.clevelandclinic.org) and then click on find a doctor then on Beachwood on the left then on infertility you will see that her special interests include PCOS. Her name is Cynthia Austin. She really takes time to explain why this is happening to you and how she can help!! I cannot say enough good things about her!!! I know I would not have my DS if it were not for her!

You can reach her office by calling 216-839-3100!

Good luck!

I just posted about my doctor in Mayfield Heights (Landerbrook)...just down the road from Dr. Cynthia Austin. I went to Dr. Austin but didn't feel like she was aggressive enough with my treatment. She kept me on a lower dosage of Glucophage than my previous doctors in Georgia and she kept saying to lose weight. I liked her and she was great with keeping in touch via emails, but I wasn't getting anywhere with her. Since I was done having kids, I felt it was time to beat this battle with PCOS. When I finally found Dr. Wolovitz (PCP) and Dr. Faiman (Endo) they increased my Glucophage, put me on Spiro and within months I lost a lot of weight. They do have me working with a PCOS dietitian (she is in the same office and gets paid through them so insurance does cover her), but my diet is no different than it was before I found them. Anyway, if you just take Rt. 8 to 271 North and exit at the Brainard/Cedar exit, Landerbrook is just around the corner and my doctors are in the University Hospitals Building.

There are 3 docs in this practice. Mooney, Nash and Moretuzzo. I know several women that see this group (including me) and we have nothing but good things to say. They have 3 offices. One at Akron City, one on Canal Street, and one in Canton.

Good luck!

pooker!
I should have updated here... I am seeing Dr Nash in Akron now, and he seems great! Thank you for looking out for me

It's kind of cool to hear from someone in my area, seems like all the ladies are so far away on the boards. keep in touch.

I have also seen Dr. Nash a couple of times when Dr. Mooney wasn't in and also Dr. moretuzzo. They are all three great. I just had ovarian drilling done yesterday.

Default Dr Nash is amazing!

While I just started TTC with an RE, I must add that Dr. Nash & the Akron Reproductive Gyn. group has an amazing reputation with area Doctors. My good friend is an OB/GYN and that's who she instantly sent me to see when I was diagnosed.

Good luck and if you go to this group, I think you will be VERY happy. They are kind, sensitive and according to the statistics --- consistantly the highest percentage of sucess for IF treatment in Ohio.
