I have been on Ortho tri cyclen lo for almost 2 months now and I had elevated LFT'S. I have a weird looking bruise on my lower right leg near my ankle....it looks like a redish blue circle and in the middle it looks like normal skin color. I have noticed that it gets darker at night and lighter in color during the day (i think that may be because the more Im on it the more irritated it gets.) but it never seems to go away. I was wondering if it could be caused by taking the bcp with having elevated lft's. I looked up the side affects of ortho tri cyclen and this is what it says:

Serious side affects: liver damage (yellowing of the skin or eyes, nausea, abdominal pain or discomfort, unusual bleeding or bruising, severe fatigue).

I was wondering if anyone else has experienced this????

I have a dr appt in December but I am going to put a call into her today.
