 RE: ring around the neck...
I also used to have a dark ring around my neck. It was only on the front half (that I knew of) and just looked like it was dirty, like my neck was wet and someone threw dirt and it stuck there. As far as making it go away, I can't really help there, in that mine just sorta faded on it's own. It is still there, but much more faint now, I just let it go and over about 3-4 months, it faded.
Sorry I can't help more, but sometimes just knowing you aren't the only one gives great peace of mind! On that note, I also am always warm, like tank tops, shorts and sandals in the winter, etc. I don't know what your profession is, but I find that if I can go with strappy sandals and no socks or pantyhose, I'm usually OK (temperature wise) through the day. I think my feet are my temp. regulators.
