Cool re; weighty issue!

I am very lucky to have a sympathetic doctor who is willing to give anything new a try, hence I was put on Metformin. The consultant I had to see to get them prescribed looked at me and told me that they probably wouldn't do me any good as I was already "thin". At 5'10" and 154lbs I am not obese, but as I exercise 4 times a week and have a careful diet, I feel I should be a little lighter for all the effort. I cannot lose weight, no matter how hard I try. Metformin, so far, has not worked for me, but I am sure it is nothing to do with me being "thin". It just doesn't suit me. Be persistant. Change doctors, get a second opinion until you get the answer you want. It helps to be referred to a specialist in PCOS, and I understand as more is being found out about it, more doctors are keen to study about it.

Best of luck.

Jayne.
