Angry Is it really acne?

I'm getting horrible...which I thought was acne...large, red, bumps all over my back. Its not my usual acne that I get on my face. These are sooo painful, huge, almost look fluid filled but they aren't, they arent like whiteheads. Like I said, they hurt like HECK! I've tried body wash for the past month designed for acne, Im trying "backne" from Avon, which seems to dry it out a little bit, but they are still there and red as ever!!!! Wondering if this really is acne and how can I treat it??? I'm really getting frustrated with summer around the corner here!!!
Thanks in advance!

Erin- maybe it is skintags. I have them on my back and they hurt like heck at times. One summer one of them opened in the shower and bled through 3 shirts, I was working at camp and they took me to the emergency room because it wouldn't stop bleeding. Had to get it cortirized(sp?) It hurt pretty bad after that, its still there and I think it hurst worse no then it did 4 years ago.

i have had a really bad "break out" in the passed two week, or at least what i thought was a breakout.
I went to the doctor's and said i have also been feeling under the weather.
My doctor gave me a check up and found i still had a lung and chest infection and that it wasn't acne on my face it was the infection caseing blood posioning (I had a right telling off for not going earlier to the doctors), i know have been put on really strong pencilin (which is hell to take) so if i were you i would go to a doctor and check there isn't an infection casing the acne.
Hope your feeling better soon.
Blessed Be

i have heard of soft tissue infections being mistaken for acne but when put on antibiotics, the acne has "magically" cleared up.

Has anyone heard of "nodules?" They seem like acne in that they come and go, but they are larger, red, and feel like they have fluid or are a lump deeper in the skin. They cannot be popped (not that we should be doing that with any of them!) and they go down and become a darker red scar within a week... and eventually disappear. I get these during certain times of the month or if I am stressed out. Any one else?
Thanks!
-LK

Default had those

Yep I had those. Huge red things popping up on my chin mostly.
They hurt and could not stop myself touching them, resulted in increased size and scars in face. My docter gave me antibiotics, to get rid of them bumps, and prescribed me some creams, which do help me. I sometimes still have breakouts, but not that big bumps anymore. Ill look up the brandname for you if you want. Well from the bright side, it keeps us feeling young.
