I was just wondering...do any of you lovely ladies happen to have really large arms? I am a large, plus size girl but it seems a lot of my weight has gone to my arms. Is this true for anyone else? I just got thinking and got curious....LOL. ((HUGS))

YES!! I have massive upper arms and because of it I never wear sleeveless shirts or singlets. I hate them. They have always been a little larger, but when I was thin it didn't bother me too much because they weren't really large, just a bit more chubby, but now they are pretty big. They also have lots of stretch marks on the underside.

I too am a plus size girl who has big arms. (very big upper arms) My weight has fluctuated anywhere from 260 at my largest to 140 at my smallest and I have very large arms no matter what

I have quite a bit of fat distributed to my upper arms too. I don't like to wear short sleeves because they seem out of proportion to the rest of my upper body.

Yep, I sure do, for my size they are big. Bigger then the rest of me... Even when I was smaller I had thicker arms. This summer I just got comfortable enough to wear short sleeves.

I think I read somewhere that this was due to our higher testosterone levels. Usually, men bulk up in the upper body and women in the lower, but since our hormones are screwy, we're screwy.
I have large flabby arms. When I finally get down to the weight I want to be, I am having surgery to get rid of the extra flab. When I was smaller, I too had larger than normal upper arms. My moms arms are flabby too.

This trait genetically runs in my husbands family. I have always been blessed with thinner arms and legs, but boy oh boy the female side of my husbands family all carry a lot of weight in their upper arms. You can tell they are related, I sure hope my arms help lessen the effects on my kids whenever Im blessed with them

Boy this takes me back. I can remember a guy that I dated in high school. He was the bodybuilder type and we dated for many years (that is the only reason I would even consider doing this). I mean this guy worked out everyday, am and pm. He drank Joe Weider weight gain products. He was also very athletic and into karate. I can remember at his biggest most muscular time he measured his upper arm diameter. Boy was he happy. Then jokingly he wanted to measure mine. Well needless to say they were about the same as his (in fact I think they were even a little bigger). Talk about killing a mood. Then he preceded to get mad at me, as if I really wanted to have bigger arms than my bodybuilding boyfriend...I mean come on. From that point on I became more "aware" of my arms.
I am so glad I posted this thread, because I always wondered.
