Default Really scared

So I think I did something really stupid. I decided to take myself off of metformin, actos, and byetta. Needless to say I tried controlling all of my symptoms with diet and exercise. For me I think it was really a bad idea as I developed nasty boughts of hypoglycemia since stopping the meds and have felt just horrible since a few days after stopping the meds. I have also gained 50 lbs even though I have been keeping a better diet. So tomorrow I am going back to my endo. I am nervous about this and am scared that maybe I damaged my system and now I am stuck with hypoglycemia forever. ugh! Please think good thoughts for me tomorrow as I crawl back to my endo with my tail between my legs.

Oh, wow. Good luck tomorrow. And you should be proud of yourself for recognizing that you need help. Good for you! Letting our egos make decisions in our lives is never a good thing Best wishes in getting back on track.

thanks for the replies. The visit with the Endo went better than I imagined. I have my prescriptions for my meds again and he added spiro and cardizem for the excess hair.

I wouldn't scold yourself for attempting the natural route. It's the only thing that's worked for me. Metformin tore my intestines to shreds and made me ill.

It IS possible to keep the weight off naturally. It is incredibly difficult, but it's possible. Don't listen to anyone who wants to make excuses for themselves or for you when it comes to your weight.

I can only speak for myself as far as taking meds. For me, the side effects of drugs and being "dependent" outweigh the benefits. I just assume be a healthy person and let nature take its course.
