Default Really Thick Hair on your head

I know a lot of Cysters has problems with thinning hair on their head and growing hair everywhere else. My problem is similar, except for the hair on my head. Seriously, I have the thickest hair, actually hairdressers hate it when I show up at the salon. I think I have twice as much hair on my head as a normal person. Most hats and hair accessories are too small for my head/hair. Just wondering if anyone else is in this boat.

Me, too. I always say I have enough hair for two or three people. Thinning hair is about the only symptom of PCOS I know about that I don't have, so I count my blessings in that regard.

I think, in my case, it's a family characteristic from my dad's side. A lot of us have really thick hair. Mine's wavy, too, and difficult to control. On the plus side, my hairdresser is a cousin with equally thick hair, and he is always glad to see me show up.

I had really thick hair that aso grew three times quicker than average hair according to my hairdresser. I have always wondered of this had something to do with my hormones. Unfortunately my facial hair seemed to follow the same pattern!

My hair has been falling out really heavily for about four years now (it blocks the drain after a shower). I have only just got bald patches, I assume this was because it was so thick. Even though I have a lot of holes the hairdresser still says what I have left is very thick, if that makes sense.

I could never imagine my hair falling out. I thought it was one of the symptoms that i had managed to miss as I kept my hair for years but even taking metformin eating properly and excercising hasn't stopped the loss. Sometimes it slows down and I think its stopped but it seems to catch up again.

I too have very thick hair. I got it cut for locks of love over a year ago, and the hairdresser had to cut in 3 layers. She said I could provide enough hair for 2 wigs! I think mine is genetic from family too. My maternal grandma also has extremely thick hair.

I got naturally curly hair that can be really frizzy. I used to get it thinned out at the salons and it would look like the dresser cut 5 people's worth of hair off of me and I still had a lot.

Since I started taking my metformin, my hair is no longer like a brillo pad and is much more managable. I had started losing my hair before the met, but now it's getting thick again. However it doesn't mat up or knot up anymore and I am SOO happy for that. I seriously wanted to shave my head and wear wigs some days.

I don't have that problem, but my mom has thick hair and she got it thinned a couple times.

I have really thick hair also. I used to have it thinned out! I also lose a lot of it when washing it or brushing it. If I didn't have as much hair as I do I would be bald!!! I am thankful for my hair, it is one of my best feature!

I also have very thick hair, but I do lose quite a bit of it when I wash/comb it.

My hair is very thick too. I'm african american and I use to get relaxers. Now I'm natural. So when I went to get my hair straighten for my holiday party, I was sitting in their with this big angela davis fro to the 10th power and everyone was starring at me. I love my hair because I 'm naturallly curly. When I wanted it braided you should see the look on my stylist face. Now I do my own hair and it looks better then what she does.

I cant help that my hair is thick, I had nothing to do with it,
