Some of you know my DH and I went thru foster parenting classes in May. During our free time this summer, we worked on our house. Initially we thought we would be adopting a sibling group of 4 little girls. However, the state is still trying to get them back with their mom.
We knew God had placed these little girls in our lives for a reason. They showed us we needed to pursue adoption. A couple of weeks ago, I thought I was pregnant. I took a test; BFN. With the possibility of pregnancy, I started questioning if we made the wrong decision to adopt. I asked God to show me a sign and give me peace with what we were supposed to do - try clomid again or adopt.
The next day at work, I received a call from DCS to let me know DH and I about a sibling group of 4 children - 3 boys and 1 girl. The parental rights had already been terminated and the children would be an adoption placement. DH and I were #1 on the list of "candidates".
They are full-blooded siblings. The boys are 17 months, 5 yrs old, and 6 yrs old and the girl will be 3 in December. They will be coming home next Friday!
It's hard to image in six days I'm going to be a mommy!!! I knew some of you would be interested in our good news.
As soon as I can, I will post pictures.
**HUGS**
Tina

I'm gonna stop looking back and starting moving on
And learn how to face my fears
Love with all of my heart, make my mark
I wanna leave something here
Go out on a ledge, without any net
That's what I'm gonna be about
Yeah, I wanna be running
When the sand runs out

It hit me this morning - I'm gonna be a mommy in 4 days!!!!
I'm starting to get butterflies in my tummy. It seems like there's still so much to do and not enough time. I guess I should get used to that. LOL.
