Hello, ladies. I posted this question over on the diet/exercise board, but thought I would try here, too. I would really like to try a rebounder, but as I suffer from various problems meaning I have poor balance, I would like one with a balance bar like the needak models. I haven't been able to find a U.K. supplier so far, and wondered if anyone here knows where I can get one or something similar? Needs to have a high weight limit and preferably fold up.
On a happier note, I finally have my endo appointment with Professor Wilkin at Plymouth on March 24th. I'm pinning a lot of hope on this for finally getting some help and treatment, so pretty much everything will be crossed between now and then!
Hi Hannah. A rebounder is one of those mini trampolines. I know there are some in Argos, but I need a pretty strong one and one with a balance bar. Needak do a great one that I saw on their website, but I guess it would cost an arm and a leg to ship it from the States!
Will let you know how I get on with Prof. Wilkin. I'm having to see him privately;originally my G.P. would only refer me to a gynae, although I told her I thought it would be a waste of time--it was! Then after I had a bit of a hissy fit in her office after that appointment, she said "I suppose I can refer you to an endo if it will make you happy!?!" Then told me that I would probably have to wait the same length of time as I had for my gynae appointment (nearly 8 months) and I cracked. My father says he will pay for the consultation, bless him. I don't think I could have gone much longer without some form of treatment other than "lose weight and wait for the menopause!"
oh! i hada minitramp when i was a kid. we used it to launch ourselves into aerial manouvers on our front lawn. we used a futon mattress as a landing pad.
when i was in gymnastics we used them at a bar to help get the technique of certain bar moves. maybe if you don't find one with a bar attached, you can use one situated near a sturdy bar?
maybe a sports store would be better than argos? we got a futon from argos and um... it was better than sleeping on the floor. maybe some of there other things are better than our futon (which looks lovely, it is very noisy though, and it turned into a pain to sleep on).
