Default Receding hair line, what to do?

Lately, I've noticed that my hair line has been receding! Yuk. What should I do? I'm not on any medications, and I just use regular shampoo. What are some suggestions from everyone else? Anyone have any positive results?

Thanks!

Hi Anna, I have started using the Nioxin shampoo. It has pretty much stopped the shedding. Plus they have a folicle enhancer that promotes hair regrowth. It is basically a mixture of several essential oils. I have been using this as well. I haven't seen any drastic changes, but I haven't been losing much hair lately and I have seen several new little spikes of hair on my scalp. I bought mine at the JC Penney Hair Salon. You might give it a try.

Lightbulb A few ideas...

First, if you pull your hair back in a ponytail, stop. The pull on the front of my hair caused it to break off!

Second, are you taking any vitamins? A good multi is a necessity, and some flaxseed and biotin supplements can't hurt. Since I started my flaxseed oil capsules and biotin, I've noticed a huge difference in my hair loss - I may be almost down to normal shedding

Third, get a good haircut. I had long, straggly hair a few weeks ago that only made the hair loss more noticeable. Since I got it cut to shoulder-length, it's got more body.

If all else fails, there are prescription drugs you can take, but they're not recommended if there's any chance of your getting pregnant.

And, Jana, what's the follicle-enhancer called? Where can I get it?

Jana,
Does the Nioxin stuff really work? I've been using it for a month and haven't noticed any results at all. I'm really worried about my hair I'm not even 21 and I can tell that I've lost quite a bit of hair, if you have any good suggestions I would greatly appreciate it!
