 Recently Diagnosed
Ok, so I'm 24 and I've been having issues with AF since I was 17. I've also had two miscarriages. I've been to multiple doctors and even mentioned PCOS to 3 of them. All three doctors said no, there's nothing wrong take progestrin for 10 days and eveything will be better. Well of course not, I can't lose weight, I have hair growing on my chin and still no AF! Finally last month I found a doctor that took the time to look at what I was gowing through, so it's official I have PCOS. On the 27th of April I had a Hysterscopic D&C, my doctor wanted to make sure there were no problems with the lining of my endometrium. Other than being a little thick from no AF, all is well. I've read on here about Metformin and I've done a little research. I'm going to see if the Dr will prescribe it for me on tomorrow. Can anyone tell me if I need to go to special Dr or can my regular Ob rx for me? |
