Hi cysters,

I'm 22 years old, living in Ontario. Since the age of 15 my periods have been pretty inconsistent.. 35 day cycles, 40 day cylces, 50 day cycles... one would never know when Aunt Flow was going to show up.

I had an ultrasound done, and some bloodwork and my GP has told me that I have PCOS. I'm not over weight, and I don't have facial hair or acne. I guess my only symptom is what turned out on the ultrasound and wonky periods.

I'm extremely confused, scared and upset. My GP has since referred me to a gyn/ob and I have an appointment with her in October. I'm looking forward to meeting her and seeing what she has to say about my lab work and ultrasound.

My GP has put me on the pill, since my boyfriend and I do not plan on trying to get pregnant for about 2 years.

I'm so glad I found this site - it has eased a lot of anxiety for me.

Thanks for reading my post and letting me vent.
