Default recently diagnosed with PCOS

I recently found out that i had PCOS, however i wonder is this possible. I have regular periods, however, i have facial hair (not excessive), oily skin, and facial and body acne. The endocrinologist told me this on saturday. Write now she has told me to lose weight and redo my test in six months time and come back to her to see how i am doing.

You should call your doctor back and ask her to explain to you in detail why you have the diagnosis.

welcome to sc yes, you need to see your dr - or talk to them - for them to explain things properly.

I would also ask for a better explanation. For the record, my periods had been regular for as long as I can remember.

Welcome to SC! I agree with everyone you need to check with your dr as to what other factors contribute to you having a PCOS dx. Did you get an u/s? Or any bloodwork for hormone levels?

Good luck!

I'm fairly regular and I have PCOS too....the symptoms are not cut and dry....but you do have to be an advocate for your own health so if you aren't sure you agree, ask them to clarify...then let us know what they say!

Blessings,
coco
