So, a lil info about me first. I am 26 years old, married last Sept and went off BC in October. I had my period but just didn't start a new pack of pills....haven't had a period since! I went to my doc in January who said it was normal and it will come soon...he asked if we were trying to conceive and I said No so he wasn't too concerned. I saw him again in March and he told me to relax that it is normal. In June I went again and told him we were trying to conceive(although at the time we weren't really trying...just not being careful) so he got the ball rolling and sent me for Ultrasound and Blood Work. The next time he saw me he told me he believes I have PCOS but I am being referred to a GYNO to officially tell me. I have most symptoms, no periods, overweight, cyst on my right ovary, some back acne, a few skin tags but I don't have excess body hair like most.
Anyways, now that I know I have PCOS I am obsessed with getting pregnant! I cry constantly at the thought that I might not be able to conceive. He put me on metformin last month and it has done NOTHING for me. STILL NO PERIOD! NO WEIGHT LOSS! I don't have any stomach problems with it like I've noticed alot of other users mention. What should I do?? I want my period!!! Any suggestions?? Should I give metformin more time??
