Default Recurrent Loss

Girls,
Please help me with your stories, insight, help...whatever you can offer. I am currently pregnant with a demised pregnancy, and I will have a D&C on Tuesday of this next week. I was eight weeks on Friday, but the baby was measuring 6wks2days with no heartbeat. This will be my fifth miscarriage and third D&C all under a fertility endocrongolist's care except for one. I have a 2 year old son. Both my husband and I have been tested for chromosomal abnormalities, and I have been tested for blood clotting disorder with all tests being normal. I have PCOS, and I have been treated with Clomid and Follistem, and with all pregnancies have been put on Progesterone to help with the uterine lining. I am also on Metformin. I am struggling to cope with why this continues to happen. Has anyone been in this situation? My doctor is going to do a chromosomal workup on the baby once I have the D&C, but this is the first time I've had this. Please help!

Yes! I am in a similar situation. I have a 3-year-old son and since TTC our second child, I've had 4 miscarriages. I do know my 4th miscarriage was chromosomally abnormal, the first 3 I never got a karyotype on. My first suggestion is to ask your current doc for a list of exactly what you've been tested for. Some RE's and OB's are more thorough than others with their repeat pregnancy loss testing so its possible that there are things that were left out. Another step you could take is to see a reproductive immunologist. I started seeing one after my 4th loss. They do additional testing that RE's don't usually do like natural killer cell testing among other things. The reproductive immunologist I'm seeing is wonderful, she specializes in recurrent pregnancy loss. She is in Chicago but 70% of her patients work with her long distance so feel free to PM me if you would like her name. Good luck and ((hugs)), you aren't alone.
