I just had my 2nd early miscarriage. I was hoping to hear some stories of inspiration from cyster's who had multiple losses and then had successful pregnancies. What did you have to do to achieve that? What was the cause of the losses? I just want to try everything possible next time to make sure I don't m/c.

I'm very sure that you will find many stories on here. I just wanted to say that I'm very sorry for your m/c's. I've had two myself and would love to read some hope from other cysters!

Get involved in animal rescue. You won't be sorry. Your heart may break, there may be times when your eyes are red-rimmed for days. You may lose faith in the goodness of people, but your spirit will be renewed by the resilience of those you save. It isn't easy, but it's worth it. I promise you, you will be forever changed.
I know there's nothing I can say to take away the pain you have right now but just know that there are lots of cysters on here that have had success. I'm one of them. I had two early (8wks, 5wks) m/c and unfortunately wasn't able to find out what caused either. After the 2nd my RE ordered a TON of b/w and the only thing that showed up was that I was positive for one strand of MTHFR so I was put on a baby aspirin and prescription folate (Folgard). 2 months after starting the baby aspirin I was pregnant again and this time carried to full term. As you can see by my siggy we are now expecting again which was a total surprise b/c we were actually able to get pregnant w/o the help of the RE this time. My wonderful cysters on here are the only people who know that I'm pregnant b/c it's still so soon and I'm still VERY nervous that I could m/c again. I've done 2 HPTs and had it confirmed at the OB but until I see that hb on the u/s (May 1st-seems like years away), it just doesn't seem real yet. This is my first pregnancy that I haven't had any spotting which you would think would be a relief but I'm still a worry wart anyway.

I am so sorry for your losses. I have had 1 ectopic (lost left tube) and then two missed miscarriages. I was on progesterone with both m/c's but still continued to spot. We did genetic testing on the second fetus and everything came back healthy. We were not able to do recurrent loss testing on me due to the fact that 6 weeks after my second D & C I found out I was pregnant with my now 4 year old daughter. My Dr. put me on progesterone twice a day and had me take a low dose aspirin every day. I started spotting early on so he told me to do 3 suppositories a day. I took the Aspirin all the way until 36 weeks and I did progesterone suppositories until 12 weeks. I didn't stay on Met and I did develop GD with that pregnancy. When I got pregnant with my Son I did 3 progesterone suppositories, 1 low dose Aspirin, vitamin, and 1700 mg of Met a day. I stayed on the Prog. until 12 weeks, did the aspirin until 36 weeks and did the Met the whole pregnancy ( No GD). Please stay strong and have faith that you will one day carry a pregnancy to term. I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers.
I am so sorry for your losses.
I have had 4 btb losses, 3 were due to low progesterone we think and one was blighted ovum. I tried 2 kinds of progesterone suppositories and they didn't help. The last chance was our miracle one, prometrium 200mgs twice daily vaginally and that helped keep our little miracle and she was born at 38.1 wks via c-section. I did all testing and it came back fine. I did have one small polyp and it was taken care of with Lupron and surgery back in 2005.
I took plenty of TTC breaks and would go back on BCP's then stop and go back on clomid.
Here is my babysite *see siggy* it details this last time in my journal/milestones so feel free to read it. I just never gave up, I had a gut feeling I would have one more baby and I did. I now have my tubes tied, but am looking into donating my eggs.

Here's my story. I'm at work and have to keep this short...
- 3 early losses in 7 months - one at 10 weeks along, after seeing a heartbeat on ultrasound.
- recurrent pregnancy loss testing and a hysteroscopy revealed my "bits" were normal, but I tested positive for a clotting disorder, antiphospolipid antibody syndrome.
RE said during my next pregnancy I'd do 2 heparin shots a day, plus a baby aspirin a day. He told me to make an appointment to see him to discuss TTC again. In the meantime, he told me to start taking 1 baby aspirin a day.
At our appointment, I mentioned I had a sore chest and other PG symptoms; he did a beta and I was about 4 weeks PG. I started my heparin shots that very day.
I carried that pregnancy successfully to term and had a DS. I just had another little one, a DD (same treatment during pregnancy) - so they are proof that miracles do happen.
Usually I leave my signature off on the Loss board, but I'm leaving it on here to leave you with some hope for your own future. Miracles can and do happen!

Thanks so much to everyone who has posted. I am going to insist that my RE do the recurrent pregnancy loss testing and I think I will start taking baby aspirin now just for good measure. I am also going to be discussing with him progesterone support. I'm feeling better and better with each day that passes.

I have had 3 m/c and after all of them was able to have a little girl. My problem was low progersterone. I did have one of my m/c after starting the progesterone supplements but after the D/C it showed chromosome abnormalities. I completely agree with getting all of the testing!!! HUGS!!! I really hope you are able to get the answers and the baby you deserve!
I think I will start taking baby aspirin now just for good measure
Just one thing to tell you about baby aspirin - if you start taking it, and then have any medical procedures or (God forbid) any type of accident, make sure those caring for you know you are on it. It can affect your platelet count and/or anesthesia, among other things.

Yep! I'm a doctor (chiropractor) so I know, but thanks for all the info!

Thank you so much for posting these stories!! I am experiencing my 3rd "chemical pregnancy" right now. My first pregnancy in '06 ended in mc at 9 wks. After 4 mcs, I am so encouraged by all of your successes.
The thing I find most interesting is that many of you have mentioned MTHFR or Antiphospholipid syndrome. Of all of my testing, the only thing that has been questionable is the MTHFR. Because of this, I am on Folgard and baby aspirin. We added Metformin last November to see if it makes a difference.
I am so glad that you are willing to share your journeys with us. It really means a lot to have people that understand what I have been going though and see that you made it through!
Thanks!
Kelli

Waiting for next cycle to sart After a break and acupuncture, Hoping for a BFP using Follistim!!
Let me first start off by saying that I am deeply sorry for your losses. I also had 2 early m/c's...the first was a blighted ovum at 11 weeks and the other was unexplained at 6 weeks. Both of those were conceived on Clomid and I was on oral progesterone. I recently had a baby and he was conceived on Follistim and sustained w/progesterone suppositories. Even though I never had any testing done, I personally believe that my 3rd pregnancy was successful because of the progesterone. This time around, I started the progesterone shortly after ovulation whereas the other 2 pregnancies I didn't start the progesterone until I had a positive hpt.
I hope my story has given you inspiration . Good luck!
