Recurring Depression I saw the rage thread and was going to comment, but what I have is a bit different. Yes, I can definitely get into a rage occasionally - something as as stupid as the hubby leaving a cupboard door open, but the majority of the time I can control my anger without a problem. I tend to think rationally.
My big problem is that I keep dipping down into a depression. When I was on birth control, the hormones were regulated and the depression was non-existent. Unfortunately they began causing migraine headaches, which I had NEVER had before, so I got off of them. It took 6 months before the migraines began to stop and now I only have them very infrequently.
The depression, however, keeps coming back. Sometimes it's so bad that I lock myself in the bathroom and bawl, other times it's like I just want to curl up under the covers and stay there all day. I have two children, though, and a job, so I can't do that. Does anyone else go through recurring depressive periods? Have you found anything that helps to stop them from occuring? |
