I haven't had another one since!!!! I get my pills at Trader Joe's. I hear Cranberry juice helps to but for everyday use I like the pills.
Good luck!

And definitely pee after sex. OMG, the pain I went through when I didn't know that. Ever since then my beau makes sure I potty afterwards.

My Mood: Points: 3,843.36 Bank: 0.00 Total Points: 3,843.36 | I had so many UTIs they were eventually investigated and it turned out I have kidney damage.
Cranberry tablets are great, and as PBLayzod said, no bubble baths or anything foaming in the bath! Pure essential oils of teatree, sandalwood or bergamot can be beneficial in the bath.
ALWAYS pee after sex! Drink lots of water and chamomile tea.
Keep your kidney and bladder areas warm and well covered in the cold weather.
I'm an expert. How sad.

Reccomendations: Cranberry juice, go pee immediately after sex (even if you don't need to go, try), drink a lot.. yep.. that's about it. Oh, lemon can help for bladder infections rather than utis, it helps sort out the acid balance again.
I used to get endless bladder infections as a kid and as an adult I get a lot of UTIs, they've never found a cause.

My Mood: Points: 22,609.43 Bank: 0.00 Total Points: 22,609.43 | Here's some other things that haven't been mentioned.
Wear cotton panties or at the very least panties with a cotton crotch.
Don't wear panty liners everyday.
Don't use the same washcloth on your face and the area around your urethra. There is tons of bacteria on your face.
Wipe front to back when when you urinate or when you have a bowel movement.
Empty your bladder completely when you urinate.
Drink pure cranberry juice. Ocean Spray makes it and there are also some organic brands. It's very strong. I have to mix it with water or with light cranberry juice to get it down, but I've been drinking it everyday since I had two horrible UTIs within 4 months of each other.
You may have to give up baths completely and only take showers.
They have UTI tests at the drug store. You might want to keep them around so you can test at the first inkling. My symptoms come on so suddenly that I get in bad shape really quick. My doctor won't prescribe Cipro unless I come in and have a test. I think that's just crazy since I've had several UTI's close together. |

My Mood: Points: 11,162.08 Bank: 0.00 Total Points: 11,162.08 | i get them all the time unfortunately. I don't know why. Do you think its PCOS and IR related? As many of us get them.
A) Go and wee after s*x.
Wipe front to back at toilet time.
B) Drink lots of water.
C) Drink less alcohol and caffeine
D) Take anti biotics when you get one.
E) I've heard about cranberry juice or tablets. I might try that because I hate almost being always on antibiotics.
I hate them |
