Question Red Eye - Need remedies/solutions Please

Hi All! (I hope this is the right area to place this thread?)

Anyway ,I need some remedies/solution for a red eye. My eye is not runny, pusy (sp?) or anything just RED, not really itching either. I used Visine 5 times today and the Reddish went down, but as soon as the Visine wore off, the Red came back.

This is the 3rd time in the last few mths.

I know I "should" go to the Dr and get it checked out, but the time I get an appt the Red isgone away and then i cancel the appt. I do wear glasses (never contacts)

Just wondering if anyone else had similiar issues? Heard that a cold tea bag on top of the closed eye would work, but hestaite to try it. Got any remedies?

Thanks!
Janet

I think you need to call your doc about this.

Yep go to the doctor. This happened to me last week-I thought it was pink eye or conjunctivitis, but it was neither. He said it was something that you usually see with contact lens wearers (haven't worn them in 2 years) when the eye fights a foreign body thats in it. He said all my white blood cells were rushing to my cornea. He gave me prescription drops and it was gone in a day.

I have heard of an herb called eyebright. You can make an astringent out of it and dab it on your eye with a cotton ball. Apparently this is an old school remedy that works for everything eyeball-related. I've never used it but I heard it was great. But I would just go to the doctor. HTH.

Hi ladies - went to dr... only had a dry eye. She gave me drops, which helped.

Thx for your advice!
