Has anyone's skin tag ever turned red at the tip? Most of it is plain flesh color but the very tip (it's about a quarter inch long altogether, it's a big one) is bright red all of a sudden. It is located in my left armpit.

All insight appreciated.

I had this happen to me once. What caused it was a strand of hair from my head got wrapped around the end of it, not the end closest to the skin, but the end. It began to get sore and I finally had DF take a close look at it when it started to get darker in color. He found the hair and removed it and in a few days, it was no longer sore and the red spot was gone. Hope you find out what's going on.
