My Mood: Points: 7,235.04 Bank: 17,001.26 Total Points: 24,236.30 | Reductil for weight loss? Allo all! I can't beleive I havent' been here since last July!
Anyway, wondered if anyone is taking Reductil for weight loss. I have been taking since 5 April and lost 14 kilos in 2 months! Oh I was in heaven!
I went to the GP today for the big weigh in, confident I had lost at least another 7 kilos as my clothes are hanging off me.
BUT, not only did I not lose any weight, I gained 2 kilos! How can that be!?!?! I have worked harder this past month and exercized everyday bar one. I was so distressed.
So naturally I tried to resort to my vice of binging when distressed (my first binge since April) and discovered that I can't really binge anymore, which is a treat. Although I did have a big mac meal, some tortilla chips, and a small piece of lemon cake. Hmm, guess that does sound like a binge, but small compared to previously.
*sigh*
Anyway, anyone have experience with reductil?

Iv repeatedly asked my doctor for it but he wont have it.

My Mood: Points: 181,103.86 Bank: 0.19 Total Points: 181,104.05 | is your bmi over 27-30? If so it says on the leaflet that anyone with that bmi should be allowed to use this, something along those lines anyway.
I was expecting a fight to get onto a diet pill from my doc, i explained how i felt then she weighed me n checked my bmi, which is about 33- 34 i think, n she said that due to my weight and that i have pcos she would be happy for me to go on it, as she knows that pcos sufferers find it harder losing weight.
i had started going to the gym etc before starting these tablets, about 10 days ago i was 13st 4lbs, i only started the tablets 5 days ago, and the scales are saying 13stone exactly now, its those digital ones i have.... fingers crossed that i continue to lose weight

My Mood: Points: 4,017.63 Bank: 0.00 Total Points: 4,017.63 | This is so encouraging! I started on Reductil today. I saw a new Doctor yesterday, and explained that I was working out 5 times per week, and eating less than 1000cal per day, and still not losing. I'm feeling a bit fuzzy in the head after taking my first tablet - not unlike being a bit tipsy. Haha... kinda nice really lol. Do you guys count calories? What is your calorie intake like while taking this?

My Mood: Points: 181,103.86 Bank: 0.19 Total Points: 181,104.05 | Im not calorie counting at all, but i can tell you than im hardly eating anything.
Its like my appetite is zero! I hardly eat lol, i will have been on it a week 2moro, yesterday for instance all i had was 2 rolls and sausage, and later on at night time i had toast. And i dont feel hungry, i feel full up to the brim.
About 10 days ago i weighed 13stone 4lbs, today i weight 12st 11lbs.
My appetite before reductil was alot more, i would eat all the time, boredom eating i would call it, but now im not eating as much because i feel so full.Im enjoying this actually, because its made me actually see the crap i was eating and that i didnt actually need it.
But i am going to try and eat a little more, because at the moment im hardly eating anything, so i will try and eat atleast 3 x a day x

Even when i was working out 5 times a week and eating healthily and did that for a long time and never lost a pound! Meanwhile my sistr who i went to the gym with , it was just dropping off her!
He did give me some tablets that were like a bulking agent? 3 pills before every meal but they did nothing,!
Gonna ring and get an appointment to try and see him this week!

Maybe make out that your feeling really depressed because of your weight and considering gastric band....see what he says?
Please let me know how you get on.

Please let me know how you get on. | Neither do i natz! I am on Prozac due to depression, mainly because of the lovely side effects we cysters have, especially my weight. Plus i know they don't like to give it to people with high bp and mines very healthy.
And i seriously am considering gastric band, i know of people who weighed considerably less than i do and managed to get it done on the nhs.
Ill let you know if i have any luck with my gp, thanks for listening ladies!
