I have been struggling to find a doctor in Regina, Saskatchewan who is REMOTELY familiar with PCOS...
I have considered travelling up to Saskatoon if I could find a doctor there (I read of a couple, but the names were posted 3+ year ago...)
Here in Regina, I have had one doctor who was okay, but never wanted to go any further than putting me on Met and sending me on my way...all the rest really didn't care.
Is there a Regina soulcyster out there who can help?
HI! I'm from Fort Qu'Appelle.. even tho you've probably never heard of it.. lol.. anyways.. my doctor is Dr. Van Zyl..even tho shes not from regina.. this lady knows her stuff... Im not sure bout anyone in Regina.. but Van Zyl is a good bet. I also think s'toon wuld be a good idea!!
I'm from Saskatoon (sorry that I don't know any Regina doctors), and my doctor is Lucky Nickel, shes really nice and I think she may be accepting patients. If you don't have any luck finding someone in Regina, I know there are some great Dr's here. Good luck!

I've heard of Fort Qu'Appelle In fact, I've gone camping near there many times, as well as on school trips when I was in school...and my mother raised my 2 older sisters there in the 80's..lol
Anyway, thanks for the name of your doctor....if I could get there, do you think they would see me? Or is there a long waiting list/are they even accepting new patients?
I wouldn't mind having to drive there if it would be worth it!

Hey! I didn't realize that you'd replied to my original post....I just wrote you something on the thread you started!
Anyway, I'm going to take note of your doctor -- is she just a family physician?
She is a family physician, but from what I've heard, she likes to specialise in womens medicine. I hadnt even heard of PCOS before i went to see her, because i was feeling poopy all the time. i know its hard sometimes to find a doctor who is in the knowhow of PCOS, so it was cool that she knew all about it. Other than her, I know of dr. veronica eustace, i would have gone to her, but she was going to be out of the city and not back til March, not sure about you but I thought that was too long to wait. There are about 5 or 6 other (female) doctors that are accepting patients in s'toon. and there are a zillion male doctors that are also accepting. anyway good luck girl, let me know how the search is going!
