Default regular after metformin....

i was on metformin for 2 months and went off of it due some problems in my marriage...I was soooo irregular before metformin having AF only twice in a year...now I have been off the metformin for one full year and AF has come every month like clockwork without any help whatsoever. How do I know if I'm ovulating? Is this strange?

I do not think it is strange... maybe the time you took MET was enough to normalize your hormones... it is great if now you have your AF every month.

To know if you are ovulating, you can either use OPK´s or make some blood tests to confirm ovulation, that would be the safest way.

There are some mixed opinions if having a period means you ovulated. Some doctors will say that without ovulation, there is no AF. Others say you can have a period and not have ovulated. On a personal opinion, I believe if there is no ovulation, there is no AF, so my guess is yes, if you get your AF you are ovulating...

But again I am not a doctor, you should see your Obgyno or RE to verify this info.

Good luck !

This is great news for you. I hope this happens to me.
I would use opks and temp... if you see your temp rise after OV and it stays up till AF comes you will be ovulating and get bloods done too.
A friend of mine got AF every mth on time and only half the time she was ov.
