I had called my primary Dr and asked her to call me in a prescription for my allergies and i also told her that my Endo had put me on Met on Wednesday..... and she said well if you notice any muscle pain in leg or arm area call me ASAP........ now im wondering what she meant by that?? does Met cause a problem with muscle pain ??does it cause it?
People who have a severe complication called "Lactic Acidosis" can get that symptom, but it is rare...something like .0014% of people on met.
Check out the FAQ thread for more info on the risks and stats on LA.
Hope it helps!

THanks Christy.......................what are some foods i can eat to make sure im getting the right calories on Met...so i don't have to worry about having any problems while taking it? which foods should i avoid?...thanks so much !
It's more about making sure you avoid your insulin spiking than precisely how many calories you eat, at least in my situation. I ba;ance my cab with protien and try to stay around 30g carb in a 2-3 hour window. That way my insulin is always stable and it keep my hormones more even.
Focus on GOOD carbs (whole grains, fruits, veggies etc), good fats and balancing with protien and it makes a huge difference.
