hey there ladies.

i just got bumped up in dosage today, from 1000mg of met XR to 1500 mg of the Reg. met. the bottle says take with dinner, instead of 3 times a day as I have read. i called the pharmacy and they said that is what the dr ordered. i just popped 3 500mg pills...will i be ok? also i have read that regular met seems to have more of an effect than the XR. does anyone have any experience with this?

I couldn't take the reg Met it made me so so sick i had to switch back to the XR every so often it keeps me running esp if i eat the wrong thing but not staying sick to my stomach like before, g/l

Yikes!!! I have never taken regular Met, but from what I know, you have to spread it out during the day. Taking three pills of regular Met will release the full dose into your system all at once. I hope you don't get too sick!!! I would call your doctor RIGHT now and ask!!!.

Are you sure it is regular Met?
