My Mood: Points: 429.46 Bank: 0.00 Total Points: 429.46 | Relationship between fertility and weight Hi everyone,
I'm newly diagnosed with PCOS. My biggest concern when my doctor told me was the fertility issue. He told me that I should have a problem trying to conceive because I lead a healthy lifestyle and am at a healthy weight. Is this true? |

You are going to have to get to know your body far better than most women, though... if the fertility is a major concern, you must read Taking Charge of Your Fertility, by Toni Wexler/Weschler (one of them.)
A lot of us just put ourselves in the hands of fertility specialists without trying other options first- not always necessary.
Good luck!

If you have very long and irregular cycles then there is a high chance you arent ovulating regularly. I am a healthy weight and have a healthy lifestyle but that has not done much for my cycles. Im currently on cd74! So it might be worth some further investigation if you have cycle issues. But if your cycles are fairly regular then there is a higher chance you ovuate regularly. Good luck!

But there are so many resources out there now and you just never know. Being healthy and at a good weight at least will cut down the factors against you. GL! |

My Mood: Points: 642.96 Bank: 0.00 Total Points: 642.96 | Both my sister and myself are PCOS. She was able to concieve naturally, but it did take a while. My DH and I went to IVF, since there were male issues as well and I did not respond to chlomid or met. |
