Hi!

My name is Charmaine and I was dx with PCOS in August 2001, but I didn't understand the dx and did nothing in regards to treatment. It wasn't until a year after my daughter was born (April 2007 ), did I start research and start to understand what PCOS means for me and what it could me for her.

Right now, the biggest issues for me:

• low, low energy
• 30lbs to lose (I just started on Metformin...need to get to 2000mg)
• a ton of facial and body hair
• low body image
• the need to explain to my "thin" friends why I am not losing the baby fat after giving birth 2 years ago

I would really love to have a group of online women to support me and if there is anyone in the Twin Cities area (specifically in South Minneapolis), I would love to get together.

welcome to sc. ive been on met years, and find that as long as i avoid greasy/fatty/sugar foods as much as poss, and always eat with the met i am ok with it. here is a link tothe met section for you
