We actually got married 6 months earlier than planned because we both wanted to start trying for children as soon as possible. We've been trying since Jan. '03 without medical help b/c I think we were both scared to hear the truth. A little over a year ago we had a major issue with the company we both worked for and not long after Justin's dad turned his back on all three of his kids (very abusive situation). We decided to move back close to my parents and start over so that we could have a happy supportive family for our children. The entire year I went without af and in Jan of '07 I started and it didn't stop. I went to Belarus for a week and when I came back the strain on my body was very evident and I went to the doc. He immediately dx'd me with PCOS (April '07) and put me on 1000mg metformin and 10mg of Provera 7 days once a month. AF finally stopped on April 22nd! As of right now my ovaries look very good, I've lost 25 pounds and the medicine seems to work b/c I ovulated last month and af is clockwork regular. This is our first month off Provera and currently we are just waiting for "The big O" and testing on the 4th ofugust. I'm also taking Prenatals, Robitussin 2x daily, and 81 mg aspirin. I've cut out almost all sugar and all artificial sweetners and caffeine. Hoping that our wait will soon be over! Belle84, Beky, 22 engaged to stu 35, got two step kids and getting married in March next year. Was dx with pcos at aged 19 tried metformin, diet everything....tried 5 rounds of clomid still not working - now moving on to ovarian drilling...just waiting on the fantasic NHS waiting list - gotta love the UK. CarrieMN, My name is Carrie, and both DH and I are 32 years old. We have been married for 11 years. We have been actively TTC #2 for about 2 years, but it took 8 years to concieve our daughter, so I'm not holding my breath... but still trying to stay hopeful I was first diagnosed with PCOS in 1997. Currently, I am just on Metformin XR 1500mg and trying to lose weight. DCBailey, Dana 29 DH 28 married in Sept/05…we wanted to wait at least 1 year to 2 years before TTC then I was Diagnosed with PCOS October 2006 ( symptoms of PCOS for many years approx 7 ) since Ive been taking Vitex ,Dong Quai & prenatals and trying really hard to exercise,eat better and loose weight. Of course now we want a baby more than ever and to boot all of my friends have children and are pregnant with their 2 nd…so sometimes we feel left out. I also started using NPC. I got my 1st AF in months/year with out OTC in May and I ovulated! In June I tried stopping NPC and Dong Quai and try just using Vitex and AF barely came. Im back to using everything now and hoping for the same results I had in May. I still have to go to the Dr to get my levels checked to see if anything has changed. I have noticed a big change in my moods and energy. Hopefully my levels will reflect. Megblevins, Meg. I have two daughters who I adore. I didn't really have any trouble having my first two they both just kinda happened, I gained some weight having both of them and never really lost any of it. Dh and I have been trying for #3 for 4 years. A couple of years ago I realized something might be wrong. I was only having my period every couple of months not monthly as before. I had hair growing in places I never had before. I went to the dr and he ran some test and put me on metformin. That was about a year ago and I have just here recently started taking them like I should....I know silly, but that is me "Nutmeg"!! Miria- Latifa and Rafa mariied in 2003,TTC straight away,saw a doc who suspected i had pcos,was confirmed 8 mths later,DH dx with male factor may 04, we were finally told that we both have problems and will never get pregnant without infertility treatment,.i was put on the "never-ending" waiting list to be seen by a fertility doc;.i prayed,and prayed ..and got a surprise BFP!!! .stared bleeding at 8 weeks, i was told i will miscarry at anytime, the bleeding was heavy and lasted for 15 days and spotted after it for an other 15 days..and i didn't miscarry doctors were wrong!! and now i'm back in the track, TTC#2, and staying positive all the way... nessak , Vanessa, 24, TTC for around fours years now with DH. Six rounds of Clomid unmonitered (created massive cysts)~all BFN's, HSG some blockage on right ovary (OUCH!!), Semen analysis (Dh) best swimmers and #'s my Ob has ever seen in 27 years of practice (Talk about slap in the face, it def. not his problem), Finally referral to RE after about 3 years of dealing with a terrible OB/GYN. My first appointment was on 3/20/07 and just so happened to be cycle day 3 (the day they do bloodwork to check for PCOS), had bloodwork done. The nurse called back and said I had PCOS and they wanted to start Metformin for one month and then come back with new cycle. One month later he added Femara (5mgs) and u/s showed only on 15.5 mm follicle~ Bust, next month on a break due to vacation. The next month the Re added 75 iui of Follistim for six days, five days of 5 mgs Femara, plus cont. Metformin and prenatals U/S showed FOUR mature follicles I then got the HCG trigger Novarel 10,000 units and timed BD'ing everyday for one week sometimes twice a day (BD'ing marathon!!) Af arrived One month "REST" cycle. August 8th 2006, "consulation" appointment with Re and he thinks that since I had a perfect cycle of follistim and femara and it ended with a BFN and af almost sent me to the ER he believes I have endo and wants to Lap surgery on August 11, 2007. Thankfully they had someone cancel and were able to work me in the same week, I know I sure couldn't handle another AF like last month~ I have always had painful AF and other symptoms of endo. and thought I had endo. but my crappy doctors just kept saying NO we don't think you do, HOW do they know for sure when the only way to know is to get the Lap surgery done. Always be an advocate for your only health, you know you body best. TTC #1 continues... PrettiBritEyes - Me(25) DF(27). I was diagnosed with PCOS back in 2001 when I was with my ex-husband. I had symptoms of PCOS since my very first cycle. Decided to wait on children- but it was really because he didnt want to deal with all the testing. Met DF in 2004 been inseparable since. Decided to ttc when we came back from Iraq in December 2006. Went through about 6-7 horrible Docs until we moved to Chicago in Oct. 07 and found the best one of all. Had my first US with him and seen I had adnormal uterine growth which was making me spot and bleed on and off for 12 weeks. Current Doc. did a lap. D&C, Ovarian Drilling, and HSG in Dec. 07 (He really works fast). Fresh cycles have been very regular since then. I have been prescribed Metformin 1500, and first cycle of clomid Jan-Feb cycle. Hoepfully this is my time to shine.... Safyre, Heather, 25, Met DH Dec/05, Engaged Jan/06, Married Oct 6th, 06. Trying since 03/06. GP prescribed Spirolactone. got AF, no ovulation, Doc didn't know what he was doing. Got to a GYN after 3 months, prescribed Metformin. 500mg/day started 05/30/07... and charted my first ovulation in 6 months on June 24th. I got AF on July 13th (apparently Friday the 13th was good for me!) Sept 2007 HSG - All Clear. Hubs SA 32 Million over 50% motility. Jan 16th SOFT Clinic Appt First Clomid Cycle Feb 21st no O' BFN, increased to 100 mg Siany22, Sian, 23, I've been ttc for 4 years now, was diagnosed with pcos in june of 2005 also had a mc in feb 2004. been married to the love of my life since july 2005. have recently had my gall blader and gall stones removed and done 3 rounds of clomid am now just using met for 3 months before using clomid again. Recent Successes: ANNETTEDIAZ, ANNETTE AGE 34, MARRIED FOR 12YRS, TOGETHER FOR 16 YRS. DX IN 1998 FOR PCOS. TTC #1 FOR 8 YRS.(jimmy) 6YRS OLD. TTC# 2(gabriel) ALMOST 2YRS OLD IN AUGUST. TTC #3 FOR OVER A YEAR NOW. WILL BE OUR FINALLY CHILD, WILL HAVE TUBES TIED WITH THE 3RD SO I WON'T HAVE TO FIGHT THE BATTLE ANYMORE. I AM ON METFORMIN - ASPRIN-SOY-PRENATALS. IF IT DOESN'T WORK THIS MONTH WILL GO BACK TO THE CLOMID 200MGS. AprilA7, April, age 30, married for 2 yrs to my high school sweetheart, DX with PCOS May 2007. TTC #1 since August 2006. First round of Clomid June 2007-50mg, O'd too early. On to second round at 100mg in July. Other than for clomid I'm on prenatals. DH’s SA came back great. Dr added a trigger shot to round 3 of 100mg, but BFN. HSG Oct 2nd, all clear. Two mature follies on cd16 so we triggered. BFP 12 days later. EDD June 30, 2008. blondiefrommd, Jessica, 31, actively TTC for 4 years. Been with loving boyfriend for 9 years. Diagnosed with Endemtriosis when i was 14 years old. 3 Laparascopys done by the age of 25. Diagnosed with PCOS July 2003. RE advised me to lose some weight and then start the journey I lost 60lbs with the help of Metformin and Chromium GTF and exercise. 2 Failed rounds of Clomid, Ovarian Drilling Mar, 07. Started injectibles May,07.To my suprise pregnant with twins June 05,2007. Miscarriage - D & C 7/11/07. Pregnant with Triplets!!!! boilerpooh, Brooke, age 27, DH 28. Married 7 years, together 10. Started Metformin 850mg 2x/day Fall 2005 since we knew we’d want to start trying soon and my AFs were irregular off the pill and went off it at that time too. TTC #1 since Dec 2005. Clomid rounds 1-6 spring 2006 and might have O’d but at the time I was told I didn’t. That DR said I was in the gray area of PCOS but that I didn’t have it. He said he couldn’t do anything else and sent me to an RE. That turned out to be a godsend! After dealing with all the unwanted hair, and odd periods for SO VERY LONG finally someone said... "well, yes it's obvious that's what it is." The RE was nicer about it than that, but essentially that's what he said. But, before anymore drugs the RE did a HSG and found I also had a uterine septum... as if it could get any better! Then came a big move to a new state due to my DH’s new job so another new DR (a RE who is very good and a specialist in PCOS). Just this past July 07 I had a lap/hyst to fix the septum and I've lost 45 pounds since January. After our last appt I got word I’m healing very well that we’ll be starting our first round of IUI at the end of Sept/first of Oct. I’ll be on Clomid 100mg and a shot of hCG. One small snag in all this is my terrible migraines that popped up all of a sudden in Nov 04. No one knows why I get them and when I go off meds they get significantly worse. God willing I’m one of the women who’s migraines get better when pregnant! October 2007 BFP! EDD June 24th 2008 Kerrebearie, Kerre, age 28. Married 6 years. DX-PCOS Mar.2007, DX-hypothyroid Oct.2006. TTC#1 for about 1.5 years. I am currently on metformin and on a clomid break. I will resume clomid round 5 next cycle. DH's SA was normal. My hsg was normal. So, I am anxiously awaiting my BFP!!!!!! BFP September 2007! Minnimama, Sheila. I am 30 & Dh is 31. We have been married for 9 years and together for 13 years. We have 3 wonderful DD's ages 9 1/2, 6, & 4 1/2.We both want to add one more baby to our family. We had IF issues while TTC#2 & it looks like we are fighting them again this time. I have already tried Clomid, Clomid with Metformin, a few injectable & IUI cycles & just recently Femara. It seems the injectables worked the best, sometimes even too good. Still no PG. Both Clomid & Femara worked here & there. I would O one cycle & then not the next. I do have 3 injectable & IUI cycles left but I am afraid to use them up. BFP August 2007! MIWolverineMommie, Karen, age 30, married for 9 years, together for 13 years, DX with PCOS in 2002. TTC for 3 years for #1. 2002 surgery for gall bladder, gall stones, 8 pound cyst and 12 smaller cysts. 2003 surgery due to use of Clomid for one week, cysts removed, Met 1500mg, all the other tests/procedures you can think of and then giving up. Conceived Valentine’s Day 2004. Tiana arrived in November 2004. Started TTC #2 in March 2007, with 1500mg, BFP in June 2007, m/c in June 2007. Started TTC #2 in August, BFP September 2007! SheJayD, Sheena-Jean, Age 23. Married since 2005, know eachother since 1995. DX PCOS in 2006. Placed baby up for adoption in 2002 at 17 yrs old (concieved on bcps). . Long and heartfelt journey, 6 miscarriages, 4 chemical pregnancies since 2004 making a total of 10 since 2004. Diagnosed on Aug 30th/07 with Unexplained Recurrent Loss Syndrome. After a 6 month break an all clear and OK to go naturally, Dh and I have been going at it full swing. Officially TTC again Feb 27, 2008.

Miria- I like your "covered in pee" comment on the last thread, i almost peed myself reading it. I also thought i would mention to you and Dana that i tested on cd 7,8,9 and got the pos on CD 11, however got implantation spotting nearly a week later.. It depends on your bodies! I hope to see some more BFPs on this thread. Also to mention- I will continue with this thread through my journey, because i really don't get along with the girls on the pregnant cysters thread, and would much rather get my cysterly love from here.
