Question Relocated to Concord, NH - good RE?

Hi folks! My hubby and I have have just relocated to the Concord NH area, and I need to find a good doctor. Either an RE, endocrinologist, or OB/GYN familiar (and experienced) with PCOS. Any suggestions?

Hi Suzanne,
I saw Dr. Oulihal at Dartmouth Hitchcock in Manchester and was really happy with her. I didn't end up staying with her because of insurance issues but if she had accepted my insurance I would have in a heartbeat. Good Luck!!! K

Krissy-Thank you so much for the reply. I will look into getting an appointment with her. Two questions-
(1) May I ask - and this is getting a little personal, so feel free not to answer- are you a big person? Or let me rephrase that - I am a big person- about 240lbs, and I just wonder if she is "size-friendly". The last thing I want to do is go to a doctor and not feel comfortable.
(2) Since you weren't able to continue seeing her due to the "insurance obstacle" , do you see another RE now, or a regular OB/GYN? (I got laid off a couple of years ago, and lost some AWESOME insurance, under which I was receiving fertility treatments- we were about to start a third round of injectibles when I got laid off- absolutely broke my heart!)

Hi Suzy,
She is size friendly. I weigh close to 300 lbs. at 5'8". She wanted me to lose 30-40 lbs before IVF (they require a BMI of under 40). She was willing to treat with clomid and injectables at this weight. She is an extremely caring and compassionate doctor. My issue is I have blue cross blue shield of MA. It is fantastic insurance because it covers EVERYTHING but I live in NH now (moved recently from MA) and have to travel into Boston to see my RE.(bcbsMA doesn't cover treatment in NH) It is well worth it because I think he is fantastic but the commute is hard. I can't complain too much though because having the MA insurance is worth A LOT!!!!!!!!!!!! I would definetely give Dr. Oulihal a try. She actually sits with you and explains EVERYTHING...just a really nice woman. Good Luck!!!!! Kristin
