Reminiscing Tomorrow makes two months since I lost my Isaac. Maybe its timing, or maybe it’s because I start ttc again, but I’ve been thinking about my pregnancy all day, the parts I enjoyed, the parts I didn’t enjoy, and the parts that made me cry. I thought I’d share my stories.
After getting my BFP and all my blood work coming back wonderfully, I went in to the RE for my first u/s at 6 weeks. So I go walking into south jersey fertility center as nervous as can be. I pay my co-pay and wait my turn to be called back into an exam room. I’m weighed, have my BP taken and told to disrobe from the waist down. I feel it is important to let you know that my RE is quite possibly the world’s quietest, sweetest man ever born. He tries to connect directly with each patient my staring directly into the eyes of his every conversational partner. He never speaks out of turn. It is his reserved demeanor that made his reaction to my pregnancy as funny as it was. As he positioned his trans vaginal u/s wand a look of shock came over his face. Before I could see the screen and know what all the fuss was about he exclaimed, “Oh my, you’re VERY fertile.” I was having twins. Seeing as how I was in a fertility clinic after a two year struggle to conceive and overwhelmed with my joy, I found his “fertile” statement to be the most hysterical thing I’ve ever heard.
I know this is very long so I’ll stop here, but believe a have a fantastically amusing boob story also.
If any of you strong ladies have a story you like to share about a situation your tiny bean put you in, I’d love to hear it. I think remembering the tiny lives that brought us so much joy and so much pain is so important in celebrating our loved ones.
