Do any of you ladies have difficulty with kidney or urinary tract infections? Or do you experience discomfort after urination for 15-30 min? I was recently diagnosed with PCOS and I am in the process of trying to figure out the whole UTI problem. I didn't know if maybe any of you have this as well. Thanks for reading!
I am not sure if this will help, but I started taking Met at the end of July and just had a UTI 2 weeks ago, I never, ever get them, and so far that has been my only one-hopefully other will give their input....

I actually had more UTI's before I was diagnosed w/ PCOS. As I look back I think it was when my body was the most "out of control". I didn't know what was wrong with me yet, and so I wasn't doing anything about it. (I was on the Depo shot at the time too, I had lots of problems with it).
Hope you feel better cyster

No i haven't had a problem with UTI's I've only had one. I don't know a lot of people tell you make sure your use the potty after intercourse, don't wear tight clothing on your crotch area and stuff like that make those worse. I recommend some research on WebMD about it. Drink lots of water. The doctor prescribed cipro for me and it was gone in a few days. DRINK LOTS OF WATER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Sorry your feeling like this. They suck I know!! Have a good day!!

Thanks for all the info about your experiences. I have dealt with these and kidney stones for about 10 years. I've been to a urologist and anatomically everything is fine. I was put on preventative cipro for a year and of course it cleared up. Recently, I developed another one and was on cipro for 2 weeks trying to clear it up. The main symptoms of the UTI are gone, but I am still dealing with some residual discomfort every so often after urinating. Basically, it is just pretty annoying. It will be ok though, things seem to work out eventually. I do appreciate the input though! Have a great day ladies!
