Hi everyone!

Welcome to the new server.

Sorry that took so long...DNS issues.

ANYWAY, while the DNS was still resolving, I opened the board on the OLD SERVER. Some of us were stuck there until around 11pm PST on Monday.

There's weren't too many of us, but just in case you can't find a post that you wrote yesterday, it's probably on the old board (no, I can't get it.)

Let me know if you have any other funky issues.

We are still not on the new software yet, but that should be an easy switch (knock on wood.)

If you are upgrading your Vbulletin that *should* go smoothly. Are you going to the new version 3.51? If so, stuff like gifts/ribbons is not functional yet. From what I understand they havent written the code for it but will soon. So whenever you move,and if you're going to upgrade VB I dont think you will lose any posts. I know we didnt when we upgraded.

I was wondering what was going on since SC was down so much. I thought there was another HBB drama. LOL Just kidding

That would be too bad if gifts don't work. They're really nice to have/give.

Gifts are working for me. I just gave one and it stuck. Only thing I notice so far is the clock time's a few hours off. But I'm sooooo glad to be back on!

But Kat said we're not on the new software yet, and that's where the gift problem may be, according to Shawna.

How will we know when we're "there?" Will it look different?

I seem to be bouncing back and forth. Sometimes this thread is here, and another from Kat doesn't have my reply on it, and then my reply shows up there and this thread disappears. It's the SC Twilight Zone. Doo doo doo-dooooo

I'm aware that some of the features (like gifts) haven't been written yet for the new software. On the thread a few weeks ago about the upgrades, I mentioned some of the things that would be gone, and some of the things that would be added.

If you're still bouncing between servers, log off line, turn your computer off, and then re-power everything. The only reason you should be seeing the old server is if you're computer's cache is still looking 'in that direction'.

You'll know we've upgraded the software because a) the board will be a different color. It's going to change TWICE. Once to the 'default' color, and then again to the new 'permanent' color.

Also, if you look at the bottom of this board, you'll see we're on vBulletin Version 3.0.7. We will be upgrading to 3.5.1.

Off to turn off the computer. I can't seem to clear my cookies for some reason (they aren't showing up in my temp folder).

*Edit - I was able to clear my cookies afterall (and restarted the computer). No change yet, but at least I can clear my cache.
