It's been brought to my attention that there are perhaps some areas of these boards that a man's input wouldn't particularly be appreciated (an in some cases, not wanted at all).
In order to avoid potential problems, are there particular boards that we (the guys) can get a bit of a heads up on that we should stay away from? Either places that we just shouldn't post, or places that we should just stay out of completely?
I know this is a site set up primarily for women, and that's why I'm asking. I don't want to make somebody feel uncomfortable because I'm here, or because there's a chance that I just might happen to read something that they write. I don't the women here holding back problems or concerns, or whatever particular information they would like to share with the other girls here.
Do you know what I mean? I'm not trying to come off as insulting, or anything of the sort, I just want to make sure that I know some potential boundaries (if there are any) before I go leaping across them.
I think it's wonderful that you are here for wife support! Good for you! I personally don't know of where you would not be wanted. This website is for all of us to learn and support each other.
I'd be more concerned about the men feeling uncomfortable if they stumbled across a post that had a 'graphic' description of certain symptoms that they might feel embarrassed reading about. Otherwise I think the male involvement in this board is wonderful. Also the female involvement, by which I mean, any partner of a woman with PCOS, male or female, who takes the time to support their other half and uses this board as a resource for deeper understanding has my respect.
Ditto what Beth said. I think it's wonderful that you're showing your support in this way.

While many women here appreciate men participating on the board, it's safe to say that there are many who feel more comfortable only talking to women about many of the issues here.
If you post something in this forum, there will ALWAYS be plenty of members to answer your questions, so don't feel like your posts here will go unseen.
We're happy to have you here at SC!

Wow! A male on the board! I think it's wonderful that you're here...And I would be fine with you putting your 2 cents in anywhere that you want. I wish there were more hubbys and BFs on the board learning abouthow to helpand support their SOs.

I agree with JennaBC--my husband walked through the room while I was reading your initial post, so I paraphrased it to him. Though he's been very supportive of me personally, I doubt he'd ever get on here, even to research. Though he does like the arcade here...
