Question Which research articles?

Hi

I'm going to see a new gynacologist on Wednesday & I'd really like to try metformin. I'm trying to conceive but had no luck with clomid. I'm not overweight & naturally ovulate about twice a year. I have mild hirsuitism & acne. I've been looking through the research articles on this site an am a bit overwhelmed. I'd like to go armed with persuasive information (drs in UK need more persuading than in US, I think). I haven't been tested for IR & as I'm pretty thin I'm not expecting the medics to suggest it. Could anyone suggest some useful and authoritative articles I could take with me?

Also, I'm wondering if I should try metformin with or without clomid. I did have periods on clomid (cycle ranged from 24-32 days) but didn't conceive. Don't know if that was bad luck or if the clomid's just not for me.

any advice would be great

Just discovered this site & am comforted by it - pleased to hear other women are in the same position. But the site's just so huge!
