I wonder if this is related to the research they are doing with PCOS sufferers at St Mary's, Paddington (the clinic I go to). I had a letter a week or so ago asking if I would like to take part. They want to study the genetic link - would like to get DNA information from parents and brothers and sisters of PCOS sufferers. St. Mary's is a teaching hospital so I'm not sure if it is their own research or if it is to do with this up in Birmingham. Will dig out the letter and see if there's any info.

I had a letter from my gyneo Pf Stewart ( who is supervising the project) at birmingham womens hosp.
He asked me if i wanted to take part in these studies, but at the time, i was really depressed about having PCOS. So the last thing i wanted was to have to go for numerous scans and blood tests.
Plus you couldn't access any of the results, so you wouldn't be able to find out what your bloodwork says, or what your scans show. Which i found a bit stupid because it's your body they're testing!!!!

I know that it's a good cause, but i'm not one for needles and internals (i'm 23 and still haven't had a smear ).
