Default Restarting Met?

Back when I was TTC, I was put on 1750 mg of Met, and handled it well. No digestion issues whatsoever. I took Met, up until I was done having babies, my DD is now 2.

Long story short, about three months ago, I went in for a routine physical, and they took my blood sugar and I was 1 pt below being considered Type II diabetic. I was put on Met again, this time I'm on 2000 mg. I'm having issues with the second pill. I weaned fine up to 1000 mg. Now when I take the two pills, every other day I have the runs. Is this normal? Should I ask to be put back on the Glucophage, rather than the generic Met (that was what I was on previously). It's been three weeks, I have dropped over 15 lbs, but I'm afraid that it's from the runs.

Also can I take Immodium with Met to help with the runners?

Plenty of people take immodium with met and it's fine.
Maybe you should go down to one and a half pills for a while until you are used to it?
