Question Revage 670 laser...I just started, anyone tried it to re-grow hair?

I was wondering if anyone has tried using the Revage 670 Laser treatment to re-grow hair? I saw it on the Dr's TV show as a relatively new treatment in the US (5 years here but longer in Europe maybe).

Anyhow, I began treatment last month. They say it takes 3 months to see results so, I'm thinking it is still early to tell you if I'll have success. The cost is about $3,500 for a year and then a fraction of that for 'maintenance'. That being said, I couldn't find a place 'close' to my home, so I travel just over an hour each way 2x a week (for this phase of the treatment).

There are two women at my office who are in month 3 of treatment with significant hair re-growth (I saw their before/after pics). That being said, they are not PCOS.

I'll sent updates. But, just wondered if anyone else had any experience with this??

I was wondering the same thing. I have a consult on Tuesday. If I decide to go throught with it, I'll let you know. Honestly ladies, I cant take this anymore. It is effecting every aspect of my life. There isn't an HOUR that goes by that I'm not thinking about my hairloss.

Good luck with your treatment and PLEASE keep us updated. I know it's very expensive but how can you put a price on your hair? You cant.

Wow. can't believe I missed this.

Please keep us updated!

I went to a hair replacement place that tried to sell me laser treatments, but the cost was so high and I just couldn't justify the cost seeing as that I couldn't guarantee it would work.

I did buy a lasercomb that I've used since last August, but I can't onestly tell if it's really doing anything or not. It's a pain in the butt to do too.

However, if something like this could guarantee significant regrowth I'd pull my checkbook out asap!

I'm with you girls. The hair loss is THE worst pcos sypmtom!

I'm currently in week 7 of the treatments. I haven't noticed any re-growth. However, there are three women in my office (non-pcos) that just reached their 3 month mark. I guess these women were also discouraged at three months and didn't realize how much re-growth they had experienced until they saw their before/after photos. I've seen their before/after pictures....which, are AMAZING. I'm told that this is just the beginning for them too (as far as how much the hair can continue to grow in). I've seen a 6 month photo of a guy in our office which is amazing. I'm trying SO hard not to hold onto false hope because I'm worried I'm getting excited about something that might not be but....for now..I keep driving 70 minutes each way, 2x a week....and just pray that it works I'll keep you all posted!

oh cool!

well if nothing else, that email is enough motivation for me to at least keep up with my little lasercomb for the time being.

I know it's not the same, but it's encouraging to think that this technology might be worth the effort I have to put in a few times a week.

Hello girls! I went for my 13 week appt with the Revage yesterday. As you might know from my last post, I've been feeling really discouraged about this...not seeing much progress if any. So, I asked them to do photos. They pulled up my before/after pictures on the computer and YES...IT IS WORKING! I was shocked at how different my hair is looking. They said that all of the female patients have had very simular experiences, as far as not seeing a difference in the mirror and then realizing that it is just so slow and gradual and you are living with it every day, so...you just don't notice. I did notice a big decrease in hair in the shower drain (also experience by the other women patients, who are non-PCOS). I'm going to email the office and ask if I can have my before/after photos. I don't know if they share them with their patients. If so, I was going to try to find a way to share them here...I don't know if that is possible? Anyhow, they tell me that this is just the beginning and it makes me so excited to think about what it might be like at 6 months!

SassyMissy- Hang in there, even if you think it isn't working!

oh that is soooo cool!

I just saw an ad for a place in my area that does this. Am thinking about contacting, since I'm getting really discouraged about my own hair.

If you can post pics I will love you forever!!!

Here's wishing you continued success!

Can you also give me a ballpark on what it costs?

Thank you!!! It is a LOT....I think when I saw it on the Drs. TV show they said 3,000-3,500 for the year. Mine was either a package 3,200 (which we financed thru a company at the office for one year at 0% interest). OR you could pay per visit (which was even more $). The cost covers the one year treatment and I believe maintenance after that is one visit a month...at maybe $100 per visit. Swallow. But, it is your real hair, no solutions/pills. The treatments are 20 minutes under what looks like a hairdryer....but just has the lasers zooming around.

I emailed the folks at the office today, asking for pics...I'm not sure if they share or not (it is my head so, I'm thinking they should!). If not, I'll take pictures of my hair now and again in another 3 months...and then post.

Hello! I couldn't figure out how to post pictures onto this existing thread. So, I started a new thread "Revage 670 laser....Having success to re-grow hair!" and posted my before/after photos there.
