Maybe you should check at your drug store/pharmacy for an over-the-counter antifungal. It's been years since I've had a ringworm, but I did use an antifungal topical medication and it worked for me.

Yep, any of that stuff OTC, like Tinactin or something. Just look in the antifungal type stuff and find one that specifically says it kills ringworm. I think there are a couple that don't say. DH and I have had ringworm before (the cat he used to have had it I think) and we got rid of it pretty easily. Good luck!

This is what we used to to "cure" ringworm when I was growing up. You paint the area with clear nailpolish. It really worked!

I am "recovering" from ringworm right now. I have it on my face, of all places. I had it for a month before anyone even told me what it was. I had never had it as a child and still can't figure out how I got it. I've been treating it for a month with Neosporin AF. I still see the spot but its fading away. Question for anyone who knows about these things: Does the spot go away completely or will it leave a blotch/scar? As if the acne scars aren't enough.

My cousin used to get them constantly, but it was always on her leg, mostly ankle area. I don't remember her ever getting a scar from it though.

Make sure that it is ringworm...consult a doc. It could be several other things! I work at a vets office...best thing if you know for sure, is anything that will kill fungi, like lotramine..it kills foot fungus!!!!!!!!!

"May the force be with you..."

ps where did you get it from? treat the source!!!!!!

I put some tea tree oil directly on it when I get ring worm. I will put the tea tree oil on it twice a day, and it is usually gone in two to three days.

Good Luck

Thanks to all that have responded. I have been using the antifungal cream that specifies it is for a ringworm. I have now started putting bleach on it also and I did try the fingernail polish also. It seems to look some better. I am going to continue to do what I have been doing. If it doesnt get better I will go to the doctor. Thanks again everyone.

I have prescription from my doc for ringworm.. i can't remember what it's called... ( I am at work so I will have to let you know when I get home)... I don't know where I got it from but I mostly get it on the sides of my breasts and close to my armpits ( I know not fun)... it itches like and SOB but the cream really helps... I don't know where I got it but my doc says it goes away and comes back...
LOL.. I am sure it has something to do with hormones!!!!

(p.s.. I will let you know what its called as soon as I get home)
