Smile Riomet. Anyone use it whose body rejected Metformin?

I was just reading about Riomet on a weight loss board. I had never heard of it but I will be making a dr appointment to see if I can get a prescription!!
I used Met and Glucophage and the Xr's of both and my body rejected it after 6 months. I have tried it periodically after that and my body is still not accepting it.
So, just wondering if the liquid works just as well and maybe my body won't reject it!
That would be great!!!

In what way(s) did your body "reject" the Metformin? I have just posted a question on weight-loss and Metformin. I lost weight for about a year and then it just stopped. Is this what you exeprinced? My OB-Gyn suggested stopping and then re-starting to see if that would jumpstart weight loss again. But, I'm afraid to go off and have my weight go even higher during the time I would be off of it. Have you ever stopped taking it and then got back on again? (Sorry if this isn't what you meant.)
:-)

It passed through me. And, yes, I did go back on it and it still happened.

Okay - thanks. I had not heard of RioMet either but it would make sense that it could be more easily absorbed by the body since it is liquid. Good luck!!

Just started taking Riomet last night. I mix with sugar-free kool-aide to help with the foul taste. Side effects for me as been diarrhea, nausea and vomitting but doc said this shold go away after a week or two. I take it twice per day.
