There was a little article in the Living Section, back March 9, 2005, I think. I have the clipping at home. Keep forgetting to post it for you all.

Here's a bit of it. I can post the rest another day, if someone is interested.

CELIA TOPPING

Question: Should someone with polycystic ovarian syndrome go on a low-carb diet? - N.O., Rochester

Answer: Polycystic ovarian syndrome is a hormonal disorder affecting 5 percent to 10 percent of women of childbearing age. The best diet for PCOS is up for debate. But, there is support for cutting carbohydrates from the generally recommended 55 percent of calories to 45 percent.

(it continues, but online, they want you to purchase the article.)
