Angry rosacea anyone?

Hey there!
Iwas wondering if there are more blonde redheads amongst us. I have both PCOS (acne+scars ) and rosacea (red blood vessels/spider veins) resulting in a very red face indeed. Thank God for make-up! Is this just me being very unlucky, or is this a common combination?

Common I think. My aunt has both, but she is brunette. I am redheaded with very fair skin, but I dont have either. I have keratosis pilaris, which ends up looking like acne sometimes. And I burn in under 20 mins w/o sunscreen so I often have pink skin. I look so much better in the winter

I have rosacea, though am naturally a brunette. I however, have fair skin which burns easily so when I go to the beach, I always put on SPF 30, which definitely helps. My Dr. informed me that the sun is the worst thing for someone with Rosacea, so I've been using Aveeno calming moisturizer, which is labeled as helping to bring down redness, and has an SPF of 15. I also dab on once a day Metro Gel, prescribed by my doctor. I don't think it's helped me so much, but I still use it.

I have dark brown hair, but I also have rosacea. So far just the redness and no papules, and I hope it stays that way! I used to have terrible acne, too (and sadly still have the scars and/or postinflammatory hyperpigmentation), but taking flutamide has cleared that up. I'm now using Azelex in the morning and Differin cream at night, and this winter my face was definitely less red than it usually is. Hot weather is really terrible for my rosacea, though, so my cheeks are red again. Also exercise exacerbates my rosacea, but clearly on balance it must be better for my health to exercise anyway!

What kind of makeup works for you? I either use mineral makeup or CoverGirl AquaSmooth, which are both nice in that they contain significant amounts of inorganic sunscreen (if you use enough, which I have to anyway to cover the redness). Organic sunscreens are bad for my rosacea and acne.
