Question is this roseasa???

hello everyone!!

this is the situation, I've had 'bumps' on my nose since my teen years. (the rest of my face is clear) The bumbs don't have any 'pus' in them, or 'cheeselike' stuff coming out of the pores. There just there; almost like in a patern of 5 (like dice, two on outer top, one in the middle, and two on the outer bottom)

my family doctor has prescibed clindomyocin (sp?) and benzol peroxide 8%, but the 'bumps' still persist.

I've been reading some of the posts and many women here, use metrogel, should I suggest metrogel to my doctor?

Since I've had these 'bumps' I have tried many, many products, but to no avail.

any suggestions?

It could possibly be rosacea. I had always had problems with the redness appearing on my cheeks and nose, but when I started to get little red bumps on my nose (like yours with no puss in them) that didn't go away, that's what got me motivated to visit my dermatologist and I was diagnosed with rosacea.

The good news is that the Metrolotion made the bumps go away completely and quickly! I still get the redness in the cheeks, but the lotion seems to be helping and I am going to see if, with time it will help lessen or eliminate the redness (although it may never fully go away, just control it, as Rosacea is a chronic condition).

I would have a dermatologist check you out, just to be sure and to prevent them from getting worse.

Here are some links about Rosacea that I posted on that original thread that you saw, in case you missed them...

Good luck and keep us posted!

I just saw a derm about my rosacea. The metrogel won't clear up the redness but it will keep it from getting worse. I am going to have laser surgery next year. It's expensive but I think it's worth it. Pam
