Thumbs up RPL testing basically complete... here is the game plan (TTC mentioned)

Well most of the tests came back normal. Four of them were messed up in handling... 2 were the labs fault, and 2 were just too old to see the white blood cell count. So those will be retested.

Talked to the doc up here, we have a game plan!!
1. I have started prometrium to either induce AF or support PG if I am (highly doubtful, its been 54 days since bleeding from m/c)
2. On Nov 11 I hava a sonohistogram (sp?), doc said I didnt need HSG because he didnt think I had problems with my tubes. And the Sono is less painful (THANK GOD).. a few days before that I go into have a HCG blood test to make sure Im not pg.
3. if all is well there, starting up 150mg of Clomid again CD3-7
4. 3 days after BBT temping shows I Od I will be back on Prometrium for progesterone support.

I talked to Gary and he is nervous but wants to start back as soon as we can. He had wanted to wait til after the holidays, but I think after getting through some of the hurt of grieving and spending some time with his parents, he is more comfortable with trying agagin. Im nervous too, especially after nothing to this point has given us cause for m/c twice. I guess we cross our fingers and pray and hope for the best... third time is the charm maybe?!!

I just wanted to let you girls know what was up with me. A lot of you have helped me through some rough patches and uncertainity. Thank you all for your support.

Hi Misty,

Your plan sounds great! I'm glad I suggested the SHG b/c it's A LOT less painful than the HSG. Make sure you bring a pad w/ you though b/c you'll be leaking saline all day (at least I did)!

Misty, sorry - I must have missed this post somehow. This sounds like a great game plan! Are you going to have to travel for any of these tests?

BEST OF LUCK on this journey...

No. The RE from Seattle said the doc up here could do the sonohistogram. I thought I was getting my glucose and thyroid tested too,,, but on the lab report it wasnt listed, so I will get that drawn on the 11th too.

I have already started on Prometrium, so I was wondering if there is a specific day in your cycle that you need to have the sonohistrogram? the doc up here said no, but I know they like you to be right after a period when you get a HSG and this is similar.
Also, does prometrium give you a back lower back ache? Mine has been killing me!
Thanks

Yes, an RE once told me they like to do the sonohistogram around CD 8 or 9, so that there is virtually no chance of "interrupting" a pregnancy.

Thats what I thought. The doc is just having me do a Blood preg test the day before to see if I am pg. I also thought it should be after a period because before a period your lining is thicker than after one. If I continue the progesterone, the 11th will be my last pill, so no AF before the sono.
Should I postpone the sono? Or should I stop the progesterone early... like after only a week of taking it so I know I will have AF before the sono? But I shouldnt have it done while AF is here right?

If I trusted this damn doc up here I wouldnt be so full of ?s!!! Maybe I will call the RE again. I just dont know how soon I can get a phone consult with her. EEERR I HATE ALASKA!!

I think I had mine on CD10. I personally would wait until you've had AF so I would postpone it. You want the ideal situation so they can see anything and you don't have to do it again. I'm sure they'd be able to reschedule it. I had to call on CD1 and they scheduled it that day so it would be the perfect time (even though I had taken Provera and we basically knew when CD10 would be).

Good Luck!
Traci

I missed this post earlier in the week. I'm so glad that your testing is almost over and you will soon be ttc again. I'm hoping the best for you!!
