Hi-I've browsed here a long time ago, quick intro: I'm 34, PCOS diagnosed when I was 21, problems since 16, in all I've been through 6 years of infertility treatment but have 2 beauties to show for it! I've been on Met for about 5 years now and have done nothing different for my PCOS. I'm still on BC pills, but my dh has had a vasect. so I'm waiting for the 'all clear' and then stopping them b/c lately I've been having some really bad side effects or effects of pcos? I almost feel like i'm going through menopause, hot flashes, mood swings, irritable, weight gain, etc. I'm not sure what to ask for at the dr to see whats up? I think my hormones are either way out of whack or i've got something else going on. I just feel like crap and am out of touch with might be some new meds or help? Thanks for the help and support, I appreciate it.

5 yrs was about all I could stand of BCP before I started having weeklong migraines during AF. I don't think they are meant to be used long-term like so many of us have done. maybe you're body is telling you that it's time to get off them. seriously, though, if you feel like crap all the time, then something has to change...see your dr.
