I am thinking about getting some concealer from MAC-but I want some reviews on it. How does it cover? Does it cover well where you shave? Do I need to use MAC foundation with the concealer? Is is heavy?

If you want to cover large areas the best MAC concealer is the liquid concealer - its called "Select Cover Up". I have a large red scar that I use it on, and it really really works. The best foundation in my opinion is Max Factor. Many make-up artists will tell you this. Its the perfect consistency for heavy or light coverage, so if you have a lot you want to cover up its good, but it still looks natural. I use the Max Factor Colour Adapt foundation.
The reason why I say that the liquid concealer is better, is that unless you are trained as a make-up artist, cream concealer can be quite difficult to use correctly. It can end up looking quite clumpy and dry, whereas the liquid one spreads nicely and looks more natural.
I use MAC and I like the cream concealor. I only use it when I REALLY need to cover something though because it is thick and you do have to put it on correctly to not look funky. GL!
Thank you for all your help ladies. I'll take all the suggestions I can get.

One more thing re: MAC. If you like MAC, but don't like the prices, go to KOHL'S and check out FLIRT. It's packaged exclusive for Kohl's by the MAC folks. In fact, the whole line looks like MAC, and many of the colors are identical.
I'm not sure, but I think the forumlations are the same (kind of like Bourjouis and Chanel - EXACTLY the same products. One is low price, and the other is sky high.)

Good to know, thanks! I love MAC shadow and liner colors.

Oooooh, MAC!
First of all, if you order online, put OUTLOUD as your code and you'll get free shipping (through Oct. 7). They don't charge tax from their website so it tends to be a little cheaper than if you bought it in the store, go figure! Anyway, if you want something like the concealer you posted a url for, try their Full Coverage Foundation instead. It's the exact same thing as that concealer, only it's in a huge quantity *grin*. It's what I use to cover places that might show 5 o'clock shadow.
Someone mentioned Select Cover-up, which is good too. I use that as the base for my eyelids.

Thanks for the code!!! Do you have oily skin? I was wondering how this stuff does with oily skin. Also how does it hold up when sweaty? I am guessing that it covers really well.....does it look cakey or anything like that?
Thank you!!!!

I do have oily skin on my face (rest of my body is dry, grrr). It stays put very well. I was in disneyworld in FL earlier this month, and sweated buckets, but had this on the obvious 'stubble' parts with mineral makeup over it, and it stayed
It's really meant for heavy coverage and photography and stuff like that, so I'm guessing it could look cakey very easily. Just be sure to blend, blend, blend!
I am an avid MAC user..and I seem to have found a pretty fool proof method as far as cover up makeup goes.
First I put on a product of theirs called Prep+Prime, just to get my skin ready to take the concealer/foundation properly. Then I apply the Studio Stick concealer where needed with a concealer brush. Then I apply the Select SPF foundation with a foundation brush and I finish it off with a dusting of select sheer pressed powder. My skin has never looked this close to flawless! When I find a system that works I stick to it, regardless of the cost!!
