Thread: It's a poem... For those who lost little ones

I hope this doesn't make you sad or offended in anyway, it just came out of me after reading a post in the loss forum.

Little baby girl,
Do you have wings?
To fly all round the world
To see all sparkling things.

Like every princess should...


Little baby boy,
Are those really wings?
You should stay, precious boy
To see what the future brings

Like every hero should...


My little angel, sweetest baby,
I think of what ifs and maybe
But it all feels so wrong,
And I know I'll long for so long...

So peacefully, asleep in the crib,
Would fit so perfectly on my arm,
Sweetest baby, made from my rib,
Just a photograph to keep me warm...

Not a laughing child, you see
Just the smallest coffin I have ever seen
Not a bruised knee to kiss for me,
Just the saddest place I've ever been...

Evenstar, that is really deep! Great poem! Do you write them often?

I am crying......... That was so amazing. My 4 year old little boy came in why i was crying and wiped my tears. He asked why I was crying and I read him the poem. He asked if the little boy with wings can come play with him. I thought it was so sweet, thanks for sharing.
