Default SA tomorrow, need advice

Tomorrow my DH is having a semen analysis done. We don't suspect him to have a problem, we are just checking to decide whether or not to do IUI this cycle.

The paperwork sent home with me says it needs to be no less than two days and no more than five days since last ejaculation. We BDed on Tuesday night, so that would make us 2.5 days out by tomorrow morning. I thought that would be fine, but now I'm seeing most other docs want at least three days. Is his count going to be low because of such a short time?

Also he's been sick the past couple of days, not the flu, thank goodness, but a chest cold. Is this going to affect his SA numbers?

Should I reschedule?

I am not sure how, if at all, any of these things would affect his count. I say go ahead with it.

Neither should effect his count. When you submit the sample, they will ask how many days he abstained, and factor that into the count :-) No worries!

When DH did his SA (Ordered through his Dr.) he didn't tell me when he was planning to do it so it ended up we DTD the night before, Then he had to come home to do it because he did not find their "Materials" to his liking and theeeeeen.... instead of keeping it warm on the way back to the hospital, he tried to keep it cold.... any ways he did every thing the opposite of what he was supposed to and everything was still fine...so chances are it will all be ok, and if not they will have him do another in a few months or less and maybe that will be under better cirumstances....
