We got the call this morning that my great-grandmother will not make it through the day. I'm just so sad. This woman was the one who would pick me up from school when I was sick. She lived across the street from us so I saw her everyday of my choildhood. We would play cards and watch Days of Our Lives together. I used to put on talent shows for her, pretending I was all the different contestants and she would cheer and clap.
About a month ago I lost my other great-grandmother. She had a stroke as she was getting dressed and fell and broke her neck. I never had a chance to say good-bye. For 6 years I didn't speak to that side of my family because my father refused to pay child support. It was my choice not to talk to him. But gradually, they all stopped talking to me too....except my great-grandmother. She always remembered my birthday when noone else did.
I just have such a difficult time with death. They both lived very long lives and for that I am glad. I just need to make it through today...

((Hugs))) Its hard to lose someone you love. Yes, she did live a long life but it doesn't make it hurt any less. She was a big part of your life. Don't let anyone make you think your its not ok to feel sad.

I just wanted to say that I am sorry. I will be praying for you during this very hard time.. In this year I have lost both of my grandparents that meant the world to me. It has been one of the hardest things that I have had to go through...

Thank you all for the kind words and support. We went to the hospital but she was pretty much gone. Her pulse was at 40 and her breath was labored. I said my good-bye's and told her I loved her. My little brother (13) and sister (9) were there also. We took them from the hospital with us so my mother and step-father could stay. W went to the mall, had a nice lunch and each got a little something. Then we brought them back to our house. My mom got here at 9 to pick them up and she was still alive. It is just a matter of time. But I said good-bye already, so I won't be returning to the hospital. She is going to a better place.
It has just been such an up and down year for me. I have my beautiful DD who is the love of my life but at the same time I have lost 3 relatives, had gallbladder surgery, and increased depression/anxiety. I'm just so tired.
