I have been to this board some time ago and left for a while. I am once again on the road to TTC.
I had an RE appointment today. I was told to come in for a Saline Infusion Sonohysterography, however I think I missunderstood when he wanted me to come in for this. The MA there told me that he wanted me to call on the first day of my cycle to make the appointment. That the appointment should be around days 3-5 of my cycle. But that doesnt sound right for some reason... I could have sworn he said he wanted me to make the appointment with the receptionist before I left the office. I am confused and kind of embarassed to try and get in touch with him to ask this question again. Its not that I wasnt paying attention, its that there was just SO MUCH information in this visit.
Has anyone had this test done? If so, when was it scheduled for?

I had that test bc after my period my lining was still thick so they wanted to see what was going on in there and found polyps which I ended up having to get removed a few days later that were filling up my uterus.

Just call the office back. You don't have to speak to the doctor- usually, there's a coordinator who schedules everything, so you can leave a message for her.

I did the SHG, but can't remember exactly when I did it-- it might've been day 3-5 or it might've been somewhere around 12 or 13.

Sort of like with an HSG they want you to do it early in your cycle so they don't mess with growing follicles or pregnancy. My doctor did it while I was on BCP. Then 2 days after the test I stopped the BCP and moved on to injectables. I would suggest calling the office back and just tell them you don't understand when you should make the appt. They will understand!

I would tend to think they wouldnt want to do it in the midst of a cycle as that would be rather messy and unclear. My flow is heavy after provera each time. Waiting until after the lining has cleared would make sense, especially since it has been about 3 months for me. I think I am going to make DH call the RE's office when he gets home from work.

My RE's office emailed and called me today in regards to this actually. They are going a different route with me I was told. Not the normal routine. I started Provera yesterday and on my 5th day of provera (friday) I am to go in for the SHG and blood work (start up STD stuff). Then I will meet my gandatropin/IUI consultant for the first time for my injection class. I will be starting Lupron on cycle day 3 I believe they said. (not clear on that part but I am sure they will give me more details on Friday). I am SOOOO excited!!! I am finally feeling like I am getting somewhere in all this. DH goes in for SA on Saturday. If everything is good with his little guys then we can try intercourse with the gandatropins before going to IUI.

I had one today and it was so painful, I was shocked because ive been through 5 lapo surgeries and the last one was a five hour surgery to remove endo and man this hurt like when I came out of recovery. I am still in pain laying in bed.....
